**EDIT 1-16-12**
I'll try not to make a habit of first day edits but this is a big one. Took some critiques to heart and made a huge leap forward on this one:
-Changed Background-more color/climactic
-Gave Ghirahim some personality/evilised(yes that's a word now) and added detail on chain etc.
-Gave Fi her eyes back
-Corrected Sword placement on both and created an entry point for swords
Hope you ENJOY!

:iconplusfav: for awesome update?

Got in the Zelda mood after beating Skyward sword! Wanted to represent one of my favorite moments of the game without spoiling anything too much. If you haven't beat it yet, enjoy this for what it is, if you have, I applaud you and hope it secretly reminds you of the first time you saw those swords clash.

It's the classic red versus blue, good versus evil in this piece. The consistent color theme unifies the work while various clothing textures and battle effects add some nice pizzaz. There is also consistency in the individual characters' designs. The evil persona is covered and sharp, jagged symbols, and the other character's wardrobe consists of smooth, curved designs. Overall, great unity.

The weakest point of this piece lies within its composition. The view is basic, with each character having an equal spacing, creating a very flat battle scene. If you don't wish to change the angle of the scene, give the characters a more direct line of action. Add dynamics through multiple light sources and a perhaps a light source at the clash of their swords. A great way to add more action is changing the scene angle all together. Try to think the audience is viewing a scene from an action film, slightly above eye level, keeping both characters in the shot, but one closer to the camera than the other. With this, you'll be able to create a stronger, more visible battle stance for the character, compared to the ambiguous side view.

I hope I don't sound too picky. You did a good job overall. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
